Beatrice is the taller sister, with silver hair and spectacles. She plays the piano. Louisa is shorter, with a plum-coloured hat and interests of her own.

Snow brings them to the Copper Dormouse, where an interrupted journey becomes a stay in Dorothea’s household. By the sea, they have an outing with quite a different rhythm: a promenade, time over supper, and a little boat game.

The sisters are good company without being interchangeable. Watch which details catch each one’s attention as their holiday unfolds.
